Homemade Pies

Here at Iowa Orchard, we have built a reputation on our wonderful quality, from the customer favorite Dutch Crumb Apple to the newer flavors like Black Raspberry or Chocolate Pecan. We are very particular with our top crust, which is made with an actual rolling pin, floured cloth, and delicate technique.

The real secret to the best pie from us is our frozen unbaked pies. No thawing is required: just pop it in the oven and make your house smell like heaven! They are good for 6 months in the freezer.

If you are watching your sugar intake, for an additional $4, we offer NO SUGAR-ADDED pies made with monk fruit, erythritol, and allulose. These are only available by request.  Your options include any double-crust fruit pies, but no Pecan, Pumpkin, Dutch pies, or fruit crisps.

For an additional $2, we can make any listed pie VEGETARIAN, but only fruit pies and crisps can be made VEGAN (NO Pecan, Pumpkin, or Chocolate French Silk). Either vegan or vegetarian pies are made by request only.

For the flaky crust and our best pie, we recommend keeping it at room temperature to be consumed the same day. To prolong the pie’s shelf life, keep it refrigerated.  Pumpkin and Chocolate French Silk are always stored refrigerated.

Double-crust pie ingredients: fruit, flour, cane sugar, lard, corn starch, corn flakes, salt, and apple cider vinegar. Plus, of course, cinnamon for apple pie.

Dutch Crumb pie ingredients: fruit, flour, cane sugar, light brown sugar, lard, butter, corn flakes, cinnamon, salt, and apple cider vinegar.

Crisp ingredients: fruit, light brown sugar, all-purpose flour, butter, quick oats, and salt.

Pecan pie ingredients: light corn syrup, cane sugar, pecans, eggs, flour, butter, lard, apple cider vinegar, and salt. Plus – 100% unsweetened chocolate for Chocolate Pecan Pie, and apples for Apple Pecan Pie.

Chocolate French Silk pie ingredients: heavy whipping cream, butter, cane sugar, flour, 100 % unsweetened chocolate, eggs, lard, vanilla extract, apple cider vinegar, and salt.
